La Plana de l’Arc and its Product Club take part in the Castellón Cycling Benchmarking 2025 to boost cycle tourism in the territory

La Plana de l’Arc, together with its Product Club, has taken part this week in the Castellón Cycling Benchmarking 2025, an initiative organised by the Provincial Tourism Board of Castellón to learn first-hand about best practices in leading cycle tourism destinations. Over three days, representatives from the destination and its business network visited companies, accommodations and projects specialised in cycle tourism across the Costa Blanca and the Region of Murcia, two well-established areas in this field.

A working programme focused on specialisation and professionalisation

The itinerary began on 18 November with a technical route through Calpe and Xaló, where the delegation visited Solymar Gran Hotel and Blanca Bikes, both certified by Bike Territory and Cycling Friendly, as well as Velosol Cycling, a benchmark venue combining café, shop, workshop and cyclist services. The day concluded with a visit to Hotel AR Diamante Beach, where its cycle tourism development model and connection with the Costa Blanca Bike Race were presented.

The second day focused on visiting Hotel Cap Negret in Altea, also certified, before travelling to Murcia to analyse the infrastructure of EuroVelo 8, one of Europe’s major long-distance cycling routes. The delegation from La Plana de l’Arc and its Product Club took part in a technical meeting with representatives from ITREM, EuroVelo, Vías Verdes and companies specialised in slow-cycling, sharing experiences and strategies to strengthen this tourism segment in the province.

La Plana de l’Arc strengthens its position as a cycle tourism destination

Participating in this benchmarking reinforces the commitment of La Plana de l’Arc and its Product Club to continue developing cycle tourism as a strategic axis of the destination. With its diverse landscapes, quiet roads and routes connecting sea and inland areas, La Plana de l’Arc continues working to consolidate itself as an attractive, prepared and specialised territory for cycling enthusiasts.
