Benlloc was first settled with the Muslim farmsteads of Benifaixó and Tahalfazar. Islamic culture has left its mark on the numerous constructions related to water architecture that you find along the way, such as cisterns, pools and drinking troughs.
Benlloc is the ideal destination to immerse yourself in the magnetism that emerges from the area.
It was already known for this back in 1278, when the municipality was initially called “Bell-lloch” (beautiful place). This beauty is also reflected in the names given to the inhabitants of the area in valencian: belloquina and belloquí.
