La Plana de l’Arc relaunches its theatrical guided tours with a gastronomic journey through the towns of the territory

La Plana de l’Arc will once again offer its theatrical guided tours “Gastronomic Journey” this
year, a cultural initiative that combines heritage, history and gastronomy and which received
a very positive response from the public in its previous edition. Due to its success, the
initiative will be expanded this year with two cycles of visits throughout the year.
The activity proposes a route through the municipalities of the territory to discover, through
theatrical performances, how the different cultures that have inhabited La Plana de l’Arc
have influenced the landscape, society and also the way people have eaten throughout
history. Each stop along the route transports participants to a different historical period, from
prehistory to the 20th century, with characters and scenes that explain the historical and
gastronomic evolution of the area.
The first cycle of visits will begin on March 28 at 4:30 p.m. in Vilafamés and will continue
throughout the spring with different sessions in other municipalities of the territory. The
following dates will take place on April 11 in Cabanes, April 18 in Vall d’Alba, May 2 in
Benlloc, May 16 in Torre d’en Doménec, June 6 in Les Coves de Vinromà and June 20 in
Vilanova d’Alcolea.
Through this itinerary, participants will discover key moments and stages in the history of the
territory, from the first prehistoric communities to the arrival of Romans, Muslims and military
orders, as well as the social and cultural changes of more recent centuries. All this through a
proposal that combines historical dissemination, theatrical interpretation and gastronomic
experiences linked to each historical period.
After this first cycle, the initiative is expected to continue with a second edition during the
second half of the year, starting in September and offering new opportunities to take part in
this cultural experience.
Places are limited and prior registration is required. Those interested can obtain more
information and book their place via info@planadelarc.com, the website
www.planadelarc.com, or by scanning the QR code on the event poster.
With this initiative, La Plana de l’Arc continues to promote and highlight the history, heritage
and gastronomic identity of the territory, offering a different and participatory way to discover
the towns that form part of this area.
