La Plana de l’Arc now has a new Tourism Strategic Plan, prepared by Zoe Leiros Tirado and funded by the Provincial Council of Castellón, with the aim of defining the future of the destination from a sustainable, innovative perspective aligned with the real needs of the territory.
The plan has been developed through a participatory process, including several working meetings with key strategic stakeholders from both the public sector and private companies, allowing contributions to be gathered and a shared roadmap for the tourism development of the area to be agreed upon.
The document has been structured under the Smart Tourism Destination (STD) approach, incorporating tools such as SICTED to ensure continuous improvement in tourism quality, and applying cross-cutting criteria of sustainability, accessibility and innovation.
Among the main pillars of the Strategic Plan is the enhancement of La Plana de l’Arc’s most representative tourism products, such as the Open-Air Art Museum, cycle tourism as a key element connecting the territory, and the promotion of local businesses as the foundation of the destination’s economic and social development.
With this new Strategic Plan, La Plana de l’Arc strengthens a balanced and responsible tourism model focused on protecting the environment, supporting local businesses and offering authentic experiences, reinforcing its position as a sustainable tourism destination in the province of Castellón.
