Coves de Vinromà, June 3, 2025 – This Tuesday, a key meeting took place in the municipality of les Coves de Vinromà, in the Plana de l’Arc, between representatives of several intermunicipal tourist destinations and the Regional Secretary for Tourism, José Manuel Camarero Benítez, to analyze the future of these initiatives and explore possible funding avenues.
The meeting included representatives from the tourist destinations of Plana de l’Arc, Castellón Sud, Alt Maestrat, Maestrat, and Ànima Interior. The presidents of each association attended, accompanied by their technical teams, as well as a representative from the Regional Ministry, Javier Solsona, and the Secretary himself, José Manuel Camarero Benítez.
Throughout the day, the importance of collaborative work between territories and administrations was highlighted, as a means to ensure the sustainability and consolidation of these tourism destinations. These initiatives bring together multiple municipalities with a shared goal: to promote the heritage, culture, nature, and identity of Castellón’s inland areas.
Secretary Camarero expressed his willingness to continue working with the involved territories to explore support and funding mechanisms that ensure the continuity of these initiatives, emphasizing their strategic value for the development of tourism in the Valencian Community.
The meeting marks a key starting point for advancing a common strategy to drive the development and consolidation of these destinations.
It was also agreed to meet again soon to define how to focus the initiatives. All territorial needs were expressed, and the Regional Ministry showed full willingness to listen. A new meeting will be convened in approximately two months, with the participation of the Minister of Tourism, Marián Cano, to define how the projects will be developed in the short and medium term.
