Benlloc dresses up for the “X Edition of the Fortea Festival “

 Candles and torches will illuminate the historic center.

 The closing of the X festival will be in a symphonic version. The “Daniel

Fortea” Guitar Festival of Benlloc, has been a reference for the fans of this instrument, in all its variants. Each edition is more people those who come to this unmissable event to play guitar and to visit the town and its gastronomy.

This tenth edition will have its first appointment on Friday, August 2 at 11 p.m., in the Plaça de l‘esglèsia, with the Carlos Piñana Trio group. A flamenco show that has toured by different countries in Europe. The flamenco show will be fused with “A la llum del ciris” that will illuminate the square with different torches and candles, putting the value of the historical heritage of the town.

The guitar festival will continue on August 3 at 11 p.m. in Plaça Remur, with the same show “A la llum dels ciris”. The protagonists of this day will be the Cellist Alfons Rochera, who has toured the United States and China, and guitarist Darío Ivars, one of the most complete guitarists on the Spanish scene. This Saturday the historic center of the town will be illuminated again with a staging in very special scene.

Although the highlight of the weekend will come on the afternoon of Sunday, August 4 in the Plaça de la Senia. The Closing of this tenth anniversary will be held with a symphonic adaptation of the works of guitarist Daniel Fortea in commemoration of the Tenth anniversary of the festival. The arrangements and conducting of the Symphony Orchestra will be led by maestro Carlos Pascual, who will conduct the UM San José orchestra of Calasanz performing works by maestro Fortea, arranged in a symphonic key.
